solution-a mixture in which one substance is dissolved in another vein-a narrow slab of a mineral that is sharply different from the surrounding rock
Outline
Process That Form Minerals
Crystals form in two ways :through crystallization of melted materials and through crystallization of materials dissolved in water.Crystallization is the process by which atoms are arranged to form a material with a crystal structure.
Minerals From Magma
The size of crystals depends on these four things: rate at which magma cools, amount of gas the magma contains, and the chemical composition of the magma. Magma deep below the surface cools down slowly over many thousands of years, so it produces large creation. Magma closer to the surface cools down more rapidly ,so it produces small crystals.

THIS DIAGRAM SHOWS ONE PROCESS BY WHICH MINERALS ARE FORMED
Minerals Formed by Evaporation
Minerals form when solutions evaporate. One example of this type are halite deposits in the United States.
